Kamangha-mangha
ang ganda’t katangian
ng kalikasa’t sandaigdigan—kusa

nang karaka-raka?
Paano naibitin ng bilog na mundo
ang sarili sa wala—walang nagsadya?
Sa anong paraan nadibuho
ng sangkalupaan ang sarili nito?
Kailan ba natutong sumikat

no matter how bleak:

abounding in untold riches
(to even subtly complain
is peace’s loss and futility’s gain)
if the eye would only will itself
to really see
